Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra

Our mission is to enrich our community through the power of music.

Since 1932, the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra has brought world-class performances, meaningful educational experiences, and a shared love of music to our community.

Now celebrating our 95th season, we continue to cultivate a vibrant arts culture through concerts, education, and community partnerships.

Our history

Musician Highlight: Cameron Roberts, Oboe

Why do you believe in the importance of music education?

“Music education fosters skills that are applicable across one's lifetime. Learning an instrument and performing helps one build confidence, diligence, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. It is something I carry around everyday no matter what I am doing.”
