BSO NEXT brings students from across Kern County to enjoy an unforgettable evening of dining, connection, and live symphonic music. Each BSO NEXT Dinner + Concert Experience begins with a shared meal at a local community or cultural venue — giving students a chance to gather, connect, and engage in conversation before the concert.
After dinner, students attend a live Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra performance at the Dignity Health Theater, complete with a fun pre-concert presentation and refreshments at intermission.
This immersive program connects young people to the arts in a way that’s approachable, joyful, and deeply rooted in Bakersfield’s cultural life — sparking curiosity, creativity, and lifelong appreciation for music.
