In addition to listening to Classical and Baroque music, I really appreciate listening to house music.

Besides the Bakersfield Symphony, what else do you do for a living?

I work full-time at The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music as Assistant Director of Annual Giving. I fundraise for music students who attend UCLA. In addition, I sell reeds and teach privately.

What is one piece of advice you would give to an aspiring musician?

Everyone has their own path so do not feel discouraged when others seem to be advancing quicker than you are. You are a unique perspective that nobody else has and only you can share it. Great art is all about perspective and how you convey that to your audience.
