Meet Natalia Perez
Education & Volunteer Programs Manager
Natalia brings more than 20 years of experience in education and nonprofit service to her role with the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra. She first joined the Symphony in 2021, and after taking a year away in 2024 to grieve the passing of her mother, she has returned with a full heart—a motto that guides both her life and her work—as she renews her dedication to expanding the Symphony’s reach through education and community engagement.
Her goal is to create meaningful, accessible experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, and connection—inviting students and the community to discover the power of live symphonic music. In addition, Natalia supports the Symphony across departments, assisting with concert production, patron services, and organizational needs.
She has held roles at the Kern County Museum and the Bakersfield Museum of Art, and her career has been rooted in making arts and education vibrant, inclusive, and transformative for Kern County.
Natalia is a lifelong learner with a BA in Educational Studies, 24 units in Early Childhood Education, and an AA in Liberal Arts, American Sign Language, and Art. In high school, she completed more than 2,000 hours of volunteer service, earning the President’s Gold Volunteer Service Award, and she plans to continue her educational journey with an MA in Learning Experience Design and Educational Technology.
Known for her creativity, dedication, and empathy, Natalia is passionate about making the arts a vital and lasting part of Kern County life.
