Enosh Kofler,
Violin I
How old were you when you started playing your instrument?
“I began playing the violin at age 6.”
Besides the Bakersfield Symphony, what else do you do for a living?
“I conduct a high-school-age string ensemble for Harmony Project, an organization providing music education and instruments to underprivileged communities. I also sub with other orchestras and freelance in all kinds of musical settings -- classical, pop, experimental, quartet, recordings, etc. I also love animals and occasionally pet sit!”
What do you enjoy most about playing with the BSO?
“I began playing with the BSO as a sub and immediately felt at home, welcomed into a warm community. That feeling has only deepened as I became a member. I also particularly enjoy Maestro Kirov's musical taste and what he brings out of the orchestra.”
What is one piece of advice you would give to an aspiring musician?
“I would feel deeply honored and valued on a personal level. I would feel proud that my contribution to the orchestra is being recognized and invested in.”
