Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra

Experience the Magic of Living Music!

The Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra’s mission is to provide the best possible performances of great music for the widest possible audience, and provide musical education for the young people of Kern County. The orchestra is a professional orchestra consisting of 60 to 80 members, 70% of whom reside and work in Bakersfield.

The 2015-2016 season will be unlike any the BSO audience has ever experienced. We have ended the long two year search for a new music director and have appointed the position to Stilian Kirov, Juilliard graduate in orchestral conducting and prize winner at the prestigious 2015 Malko Competition. This year, we have an incredible lineup of season concerts as well as special concerts outside of our regular schedule. The BSO is proud to provide musical entertainment and inspiration to the Kern County Community. Join us as we celebrate BSO’s 84th season of exceptional music.
